It is true that Derby is not without it's problems but it is a fantastic city, rich in culture, heritage and modernity. It is a friendly city and a great place to live and work. I sometimes think we are blind the the many wonderful sights it has to offer.
I was in the city and for once with my 24mm TSE lens to shoot a commission for the Cathedral Road development. Since I had my camera in hand and wasn't too cold I thought I'd do a quick loop around the Cathedral Quarter. Just taking the time to stop and look gave me a fresh appreciation for the familiar.
