We photograph all types of events, including large scale corporate events, conferences, trade shows, black-tie dinners, awards ceremonies, and large and small private parties for over a decade. We have shot events at all the major venues throughout the midlands, including the National Exhibition Centre, Molineux and Edgbaston stadiums in Birmingham to the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, Pride Park Stadium in Derby and the Utilita Arena Sheffield.

We all know and see these ‘decisive moments’. They provide a running narrative for the event, showing fun, excitement and lively conversations at celebratory events. We capture more serious moments of connections and engagements during conferences and staff away days. Matthew captures these candid moments in a natural and relaxed style. An important part of any event are the speeches and presentations that take place on the stage. Matthew captures the moments that visually explain to the viewer, emotion and sentiment through the gestures, expressions and posture of the presenter. We try to avoid using flash during the speeches. Are camera equipment and lenses we use are always the very best and we know which camera settings to use to get clear sharp images.
It is inevitable, guests and officials want posed shots for PR and as a momento of the occasion. It provides additional value and having a polite professional photographer at your event raises the status a notch. Matthew photographs groups in a way that conveys the mood of an event. He knows how and where to pose people to get the best shot. Photography of group winners, VIPs and celebrities is a great social media asset that extents the event beyond its date.
Events are over in the blink of an eye. We provide a lasting record that reflects the different aspects of your event.
Our fee for an evening event is £525, this is for around 5 hours shooting. If the event is in Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield or Birmingham there are no travel expenses. There is a fee of £200 for a second photographer. We also provide event photography on the London area.
We grade all the images and send you around 300 photos. You will receive high and low resolution versions, plus an online event gallery. The gallery provides a quick and easy way to share your event photos with guests and colleagues.
We are experts in capturing the moments that provide the narratives of your event. In doing so we reflect the success of your event and the value to those that attended as well as showing those that couldn’t make it what they are missing.

How do I receive the photographs?
We send you an email with download links. We also upload them to an online gallery. Example event galleries at page end.
What will I receive?
We send you high and low resolution jpegs. For those with technical knowledge, we use a Canon R5 producing an image size of 8192 x 5464 pixels. We may crop some images. Other formats are available at no cost.
How many photos do you normally send?
You will receive around 250 - 300 fully graded images for an evening event.
Can our guests purchase copies of the photos?
You can share the gallery link with guests and they can download them for free from the online gallery.
What about copyright?
We are not precious about copyright of our work.
Copyright always belongs to the photographer. However, you have unlimited use for any purpose, for as long as you need. Please do not sell your event photography or give it to other commercial businesses without permission.
Do you need a brief?
Not necessarily. Most events follow a similar itinerary, a conversation is often sufficient to provide enough direction. As standard we will photography people networking, enjoying themselves, speakers, presenters, and prize winners. If there is a band we will capture this and guests dancing.
You can send a brief. You can be sure that everything is covered this way.
If you’re running a formal event and would like to capture guests arriving, I can set up a studio to capture this.
Do you have insurance?
We do and happy to provide the certificate if you need it. We also bring a back up camera and flash plus plenty of memory cards and batteries.
What do you need to know?
Obviously, the date, times and venue address. Other than that, would you like award winners photographing on stage with their award? We can quickly photograph the award winners either on stage with their award or off stage in front of a banner. What group shots would you like and when? We can arrange this with a quick call or email.
Do you need a deposit?
Normally we take a £100 deposit.
