Project Destination Chesterfield

Project Destination Chesterfield

In 2017 we undertook an exciting project for Destination Chesterfield. We spent several months recording life in Chesterfield in a series of photographs, in and around Chesterfield and were impressed to discover how much Chesterfield has to offer.

A market town set on the edge of the glorious Peak District, Chesterfield town centre has plenty to offer. It has a great selection of shops including local independent retailers and high street names. But not only this it also has great outdoor leisure experiences and has a mix of history, heritage and innovation making it well worth a visit.

There’s also a great upbeat business vibe which Destination Chesterfield works to promote, by delivering a number of marketing campaigns which are helping to improve the economic prosperity of Chesterfield by promoting it as a contemporary destination to inward investors and supporting existing businesses.

The project was established in 2011, funded through support from the European Regional Development Fund, Local Businesses and Chesterfield Borough Council.
